PRESIDENT’S WELCOME
Welcome to the ANZIBA website!
I stepped in to serve as ANZIBA’s President in 2023, taking over from Prof Douglas Dow who served in this role for the previous six years.
In 2005, I relocated from Denmark to Aotearoa New Zealand to join the University of Auckland Business School as a Professor of International Business. ANZIBA has been instrumental in establishing and enriching my academic network in our region.
The most exciting news for us in 2025 is that in November ANZIBA and the AIB Oceania Chapter will be hosting a joint collaborative event rather than holding two separate ones. This will allow more members of our regional International Business community to come together and contribute to a stronger event with a broader range of activities.
Our co-hosts will be Fiji National University and the University of the South Pacific. The activities during the first two days, 10 and 11 November, will be in Nadi. They will include a Doctoral colloquium, an Early-career scholars day, a Mid-career scholars day, and Methods workshops. 12 and 13 November will be devoted to conference sessions and a Paper development workshop in Suva.
