2023 conference |
The 2023 conference took place on 17-19 February, hosted by the Deakin University in Melbourne. It was our first fully face-to-face conference since the end of the COVID crisis. The keynote speaker was Professor Rosalie Tung from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. The doctoral colloquium was also hosted by Deakin. 2022 conference |
The 2022 conference took place on 21-23 February, hosted by the Victoria University of Wellington (VUW). We had hoped that the conference would be face to face but we eventually had to relent and make it hybrid. The majority of the attendees were virtual, but we did have a cluster face-to-face in Melbourne. The keynote speaker was Professor S. Tamer Cavusgil from Georgia State University. The doctoral colloquium was also hosted by UVW. 2021 conference |
The 2021 conference took place on 17-19 February, hosted virtually by the ANZIBA Executive. The keynote speaker was Professor Dana Minbaeva from Copenhagen Business School. The doctoral colloquium was also hosted by the ANZIBA Executive. 2020 conference |
The 2020 conference took place in Sydney on 17-19 February, hosted by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). The keynote speaker was Professor Paul Beamish from Ivey Business School. 2019 conference |
The 2019 conference took place in Perth on 11-13 February, hosted by the Curtin University. The keynote speaker was Professor Jiatao Li from HKUST. The doctoral colloquium was also hosted by Curtin. Professor Fuming Jiang was Conference Chair and the convenor of the doctoral colloquium was Dr Jizhong (Forest) Li. The proceeding for the 2019 conference can be accessed here. 2018 conference |
The 2018 conference took place in Brisbane on 31 January-2 February, hosted by the University of Queensland Business School. The keynote speakers were Professor Peter Buckley and Mr Neil O’Sullivan – Managing Director of NOJA Power. The doctoral colloquium was also hosted by UQ Business School. 2017 conference |
The 2017 conference took place in Adelaide on 15-17 February, hosted by the University of South Australia Business School. The keynote speakers were Patricia McDougall-Covin, William L. Haeberle Professor of Entrepreneurship at Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business and Tamer Cavusgil, Fuller E. Callaway Professorial Chair at Georgia State University in Atlanta Georgia, USA, Visiting Professor, UniSA . The doctoral colloquium was hosted by Flinders Business School. Susan Freeman was Conference Chair and the convenors of the doctoral colloquium were Tamer Cavusgil and Greg Fisher. |
2016 conference |
The 2016 conference took place in Sydney on 17-19 February, hosted by the Discipline of International Business at the University of Sydney Business School. The keynote speaker was Jonathan Doh, Professor of Management at the Villanova School of Business. The doctoral colloquium was hosted by the School of Management at University of New South Wales (UNSW). Vikas Kumar was Conference Chair and the convenor of the doctoral colloquium was Ricardo Flores. |
2015 conference |
The 2015 conference took place on 11-13 February 2015, hosted by the Melbourne Business School in Melbourne, Australia. The conference was opened with a keynote address from S. Tamer Cavusgil (Georgia State University), and closed with the conference dinner speech given by Peter Buckley (University of Leeds). The doctoral colloquium took place on 11 February and was hosted by Deakin University. Douglas Dow was the Conference Chair and Doren Chadee the convenor of the doctoral colloquium. |
